Yesterday marked our last full day in Vietnam. It was a fun day, the highlight being a trip to a waterpark on the outskirts of the city, with questionable health and safety!
We started the day after a lie in by meeting up with Thomas and going for Pho. This was our first Pho in two weeks Vietnam, which is bad as this is such a local favourite. It was a delicious beef/noodle broth with various spices, a shame we didn't have more.
After lunch we went to the waterpark, this was a nice way to relax and have some fun without doing something 'cultural'. Spending time with Thomas was a good excuse to get off the tourist trail. There were some unique rides, including a zip line over a pool, off which Thomas has mastered doing a back flip entry into the water!
After a fun afternoon we headed to the Bitexco tower bar on floor 52 in time for sunset. For the price of a few (expensive) beers, we had a westward view over the whole city as the sun was going down. Unfortunately as it got to the point of setting, cloud covered it but we still had a good view as the city lit up after dark.

- View before the Sun disappeared.

- Saigon after dark.
We then went for a nice dinner on a roof top bar, before getting a popular 'milk tea' (again, our first on the trip) before saying goodbye to Thomas. Fortunately it will only be for two weeks as he is joining us in Chiang Mai!

- Cocktails with the bro.
Today we had an early bus as we went from Saigon to Phnon Penh on an eight hour journey... We had more Poirot to keep us occupied (Death on the Nile) and the journey wasn't too painful, with about an hour in the middle spent crossing the border. Three new countries in the next week, Cambodia today, Thailand on Tuesday and Laos on Thursday!
The first impression of Phnom Penh is good, it has some impressive buildings, a nice river, more open space and less traffic than what we've seen from any other city. We had a nice dinner followed up by some ice cream. We'll have a fairly hectic few days as we try to get the most out of our short time in Cambodia, so we'll try to keep you all updated, but I feel sleep deprivation might kick in as our only night bus is tomorrow! It'll be an adventure... Right!?
